Uncle Greg's Suprise Birthday Party

This morning I went to my uncle Greg's work and we had a surprise 40th birthday party. He had one for my aunt Julie and this was payback for that. It was a lot of fun. They made a huge sign, here Julie and Aubrey are hanging it up.

YW Homemaking olympics

On Tuesday we had the Homemaking Olympics and had Fondue for refreshments. It was great to see the girls get excited and work together as a team. They had to sew a button on a shirt, iron the shirt, sort laundry, get a stain out of 2 pieces of kids clothing, grind wheat, and make butter. Everyone got involved and it was a lot of fun. It was Karley's birthday and we sang to her and put a candle in cream puff. It was a great night!

YW Jewish Purim

A Couple of weeks ago for YW we celebrated Jewish Purim. It is when the Jews celebrate the courage of Queen Esther for her to go before the king and plead for her peoples' cause. For those that don't know, they dress up and wear mask's and walk around the church reading the story of Queen Esther and using noise makers to say "Yeah" everything Morticiah or Esther is mentioned, and Booing when Haman is mentioned. We started with making masks and then walked around the church, we got some pretty funny looks. We then came back and had traditional refreshments of Poppy seed cake and "Haman's hat's" which are dough folded around chocolate formed into a triangle like "hat". I learned a lot that I didn't know about the Jewish faith and had a lot of fun doing it!

March Madness Success

So it is official, I finish the Book Of Mormon last night. I read the whole book in 1 month. This is crazy, I do believe that this is probably the only reason I am dealing so well with what has been going on at work. I know that the Lord has strengthen me in ways I don't fully understand. I am so grateful for the challenge and for the appreciation that I have for the Book Of Mormon.

Today while waiting at the temple I opened up to Alma 14, when Alma and Amulek were imprisoned and watched as the lawyers and judges burned everyone who was a believer. I wept as I came to the realization that there may come times that we will have to stand up for what we believe in even at the cost of our lives. Even now just writing this the tears are flowing as I wonder if I am strong enough, if I believe enough, if I have enough Faith that I could accept what is dealt to me. Could I??? Would I???

Life is about choice's and I believe I could and would stand up even unto death if that was what is required. What about you? Have you asked your self where you are in the journey? Are you ready to die for what you know is true?

Thanks for all your prayers, I feel the hand of the Lord in my life daily!

Babysitting

On Wednesday I had the opportunity to watch Garrett and Clara while their parents went to dinner with friends. This is the first time I have seen Garrett with his glasses and he is so cute and handsome in them! We played several games and had lots of fun.

Old MacDonald game, Garrett loves this game!

Clara like chewing on the pieces.

We then moved on to a game called "Hang in There", the kids seem to gravitate towards this, they really like to play it!

We then had dinner, Garrett wanted some cheese for his potatoes so he learned how to grate cheese! He is getting so grown-up and learning how to do so many new and exciting things.
